All of us at Harborview Animal Hospital are deeply committed to the overall health of our animal patients and to meet the needs of their human companions. We consider the educating of our clients to be an important part of our profession as well informed pet owners are better to make intelligent decisions regarding the treatment and prevention of disease. The mission of Harborview Animal Hospital is to provide the most advanced, highest quality veterinary care to all of our patients in a compassionate, friendly, professional manner. We are dedicated to the wellness of every pet and we will serve as your pets health advocate in recommending and providing to most up-to-date medical services available. To benefit you and your pet, we strive to develop each of our health care professionals to their full potential through ongoing continuing education.

  Dr. Bob Geiger
Dr. Geiger received a Bachelor's degree in Zoology in 1969 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1975 from Ohio State University. In addition to his formal schooling, he regularly attends continuing education seminars throughout the year in order to bring you and your pet the latest information and treatments for a variety of disorders in order to provide the best care possible. He resides on Catawba with his wife, Judy, two dogs, and a cat.

  Theresa Taylor

Theresa is our practice manager. She started with the practice in June 1990, but has been working in the animal care field since 1987. Theresa currently resides in Marblehead with her husband, Troy, and has a variety of pets including a dog, Emmy, two cats, Macy & Zing and three snakes.

  Josh Smith
Josh is our practice veterinary Technician.  He joined our team in October of 2002. Josh graduated from Stautzenberger Community College in 2009.   Josh also works for the Animal Emergency & Specialty Center in Lorain and the Ottawa County Humane Society.  He currently resides in Marblehead Ohio with his chameleon, snake and fish.

  Brenda Mazur

Brenda joined our team in August of 2004. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University in 2007. Currently, she is working to continue her education in animal nutrition. Brenda resides in Oak Harbor with her husband, Chris, daughter, Jaelynn, two dogs, Shellby and Bitzi, two cats, Nook and Saydee, hermit crabs, and a turtle named Archimedes.

  Lori Balogh

Lori joined our team in May of 2007. She works tirelessly to assure that all pets are well taken care of during their stay with us. Lori also assists with appointments and surgical procedures. She resides in Port Clinton with her father, Dick, daughter,Teah, two dogs, Tootsie and Champ, a cat, Taz, and a duck named P.D.

  Brittney Heitkamp

Brittney is our receptionist and the newest team member who joined us in May of 2008. Brittney is also in charge of cleaning and sanitation for the hospital.  She comes to us having earned her Associates degree in Agricultural Business in 2005. Brittney currently resides on Catawba with her husband, Phil, her dog, Millie, and her cats, Jackson & Pez.
